Healthy-looking hair is one of the most important symbols of health, vitality, strength, and beauty. Especially for men, most of the concerns about appearance and self- confidence are related to hair. Alopecia is the general name for a hair loss condition. The most common type of hair loss is androgenetic alopecia. Potential hair transplantation treatment candidates are in this group. With the development of treatment methods, experience, and high-tech microsurgical instruments, there have been serious improvements in hair loss treatment recently and thanks to these developments, natural- looking results can be achieved.

FUE Technique

Today, FUE (follicular unit extraction) method is the most used hair transplantation technique.

Firstly, we should determine whether you have a disease that may prevent getting a hair transplant treatment. Some diseases that can prevent hair transplantation are listed below:

– Renal insufficiency
– Liver failure
– Cardiac dysfunction/insufficiency
– Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy

Before deciding to get a hair transplant treatment: A preliminary examination is performed for people who want to get a hair transplant treatment and the size of the bald area is measured. Then, the donor capacity is examined to determine if it is enough to cover the bald area. The donor area is mostly the back of the head, the area between the two ears. The donor area is the most important factor for deciding on a hair transplant treatment.
The planning of the hair transplant process consists of certain stages. Before starting the procedure, this plan is followed.

When determining the donor area, an important stage of hair transplant, some factors should be considered such as donor hair density (the number of hair follicles per square centimeter), hair thickness, etc.

The front line, which is unique for each patient, is determined and drawn.

Both extraction and hair transplantation procedures are performed under local anesthesia. The risk of allergies and other side effects related to local anesthetic drugs is almost zero.

After initial hair analysis, donor area determination, shaving/washing steps, and hair extraction is performed using punch diameters appropriate for the hair thickness.

Angled channels are opened in the transplantation area according to the natural hair growth direction of the patient. One of the tools used for opening channels has a sapphire tip. Grafts that were previously taken from the donor area can be placed in the opened channels using different two methods. One of these methods is the placement of grafts in opened channels with forceps. Another is the DHI method, where channel opening and planting are done at the same time.

The first hair wash can be done one or two days after the hair transplant procedure. With the first wash, the patient learns how to wash their hair. Every morning of the first ten days, the patient should apply a special foam on the transplanted area and wait for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, the foam is rinsed and the whole hair is washed with a special shampoo (both foam and shampoo will be given to the patient). On the eleventh day, after the crusts are shed, the patient can start using his favorite shampoo or shampoo that we recommend considering his hair structure.

The patient provides his hair photos every day in the first ten days after washing, on the eleventh day after the crusts are shed, and in the first, third, sixth, and twelfth months.

SAPPHIRE

Opening the channels, where the grafts are placed, is one of the most important stages of hair transplantation. The tips used for opening channels can be natural sapphire stones, that is, sapphire crystals. Thus, the skin would not be damaged during the canal opening procedure for hair transplantation.

DHI

In this method, grafts are collected using a medical pen called CHOI, which can only be used by specialists. The grafts are then placed directly under the skin without incision or channel opening. Follicular unit extraction (FUE) and direct hair implantation (DHI), which are widely applied procedures currently, can provide very successful results if applied by experienced surgeons. Since DHI hair transplantation offers many advantages over other methods, it is one of the most preferred methods. The DHI (direct hair implantation) hair transplantation method aims to increase hair density in target areas and close bald areas without damaging the healthy follicles in the scalp.

PRP

The PRP procedure (platelet-rich plasma) is a method performed using the blood taken from the patient. By processing the blood through special devices, plasma separation is done. The separated blood is then given back to the body by injection. The separated plasma is rich in a cell called a platelet. Platelet coagulates the blood, promotes the healing of wounds and cell growth. It is a very effective method for the treatment of diseases and can be used as an alternative to medication. This method prevents the slowdown in cell regeneration and accelerates the healing process.
